A 25-year-old female enjoys a healthy, balanced diet. She doesn't like physical activity. There is no history of overweight in her family and she has no health conditions. What is social health? Social health is the part of health that refers to how well people get along with others. Social wellness focuses on creating and maintaining healthy and supportive relationships with family, friends and peers. Having a social support network protects people against many physical health problems. Relationships should include strong communication, caring for others and a sense of responsibility. FAMILY TIME Ways to improve social wellness includes planning time with friends and family, enjoying the time spent with others, keeping positive, rewarding relationships and ending negative relationships. There are many benefits that come from having strong relationships with others. Social health is just as important as physical health.
